I made the text information very basic, so as to make people only look at the awesome image she did. It was a conscious decision to make it plain and generic, i swear!

That's a really great idea! I may look at doing something like that as a back label for a bottle! Awesome!

This one's from a couple batches ago. It was intended as a tongue-in-cheek send-up of the "Extreme IPA" genre. It turned out more like a barleywine so I didn't end up labeling it; I just called it "Unintentional Barleywine". The guy in the middle is a hapless co-worker who happens to be named "MacDonald" so it fit the joke. Unfortunately it wasn't up to snuff to be named after anyone. I just really got a kick out of the name so I'm posting it anyway Since it gets clobbered to 700 wide, you can't see the cool money-engraving effect on the face.

Text turns out unreadable so here it is:

OLD MACDONALD HAD A FARM...

On his farm he had some hops. And he had some more hops. Here a hop! There a hop! Everywhere a hop, hop!

And then we took all the hops and used them in a beer.

No-one was spared.

The sheer quantity of hops in this beer makes its production a felony in seven states. True story!

I like that a non-brewer would just think the letters on the right were random and meant as just filler... But a brewer immediately knows what's in your beer with a quick glance. Very creative.

Here's the latest in my collection...

It's a clone of Chocolate Thunder Porter from General Lafayette Inn and Brewery which has long been closed. The old brewer there works with me at the LHBS and he shared the recipe with us. It's a phenomenal beer. I tried to match the feel of the original label.

Thanks. The foil is champagne bottle foil. We carry them at the LHBS I work at. They should be pretty easy to find...

Very cool. I've always loved block prints. So much more personal than an ink jet printer. Good job.

Tried to come up with a label for my NZ hopped IPA after finally coming up with a more original sounding name to honor the place of birth for the hops. The islands comprising New Zealand were originally settle by the Moari people. I had to do some searching,but found a nice pic of a Moari Warrior that seems to be peeking into the frame. That said,here it is;

I just guessed on the FG for ABV#,had to put something in. I can always do another later to be exact with that part,but it should be close anyway. The rest will be the same. I thought the green of the label was a good color to simbolize the bush they come from. *I took some quick pics of two other labels I did for some beers I'm giving to my daughter & her boyfriend;

I used the software my Lexmark do it all printer came with. I chose the label,then wallet size,then you have to remember to tell it to print the 9 copies the wallet size is capable of per page. Otherwise,you get 1 wallet size copy,for example.

Sounds like a delicious beer but I thought I should point out that it's spelled Maori, you've got the a and o the wrong way around.

Indeed the spelling is off. Although a Moa label would be pretty cool as well. Shame about them and the Haast's Eagle.

Thanks for the spell check guys. I musta missed that part. Adobe spell checker doesn't work with IE,darn it. I have to do another one anyway,when I check the FG later. Check it again Sunday to dry hop 1 week before bottling.
