I just wanted something different..I happy with the way it has turned out so far. I've been trying to come up with some cool ideas for tap handles. I was thinking about cutlass sword handles or blunderbuss pistols or something.

I noticed this in the description. It sounds really thin and fragile. I'd order the trial size piece first and try it on something first.
"Will stick to a textured refrigerator, but some of the texture "may" show through. Order a sample first to test."

I had sketched up ideas for my first keezer similar to what you did. My final design ended up much less pirate like, but I did a lot of digging through pictures online of wooden chests. I was thinking of using some wrought iron fence post finials as tap handles, or wooden handles wrapped in rope. Maybe make a handle that looks like a rolled up treasure map. A bottle with a note inside. A parrot. Stack of doubloons or gold coins. Stick of dynamite. How about making handles with sails on them, and ropes loosely stranded between them as if they were masts of a pirate ship. You could fly the jolly Roger from your middle tap.

After 8 months of planning and working here is my keezer!

The lid and backsplash still need to be tiled (coincidentally I have the same glass mosaic tile that ttumotion used on his) and some corner trim needs to be applied, along with various other odds and ends, but it pours beer!

It is a bulava - a Cossack hetman's ceremonial mace - its a Ukrainian cultural thing.

No teenage kids, just a four year old. No taplocks yet!

Here is my in progress set up. The cabinet below the taps is currently being refinished to match the top. Also there are doors and a cask swan neck tap that is coming out the front of the beer engine.

"Na zdorov'ya" is Russian, and actually not a drinking cheer / toast from what I understand, though it has been improperly used as such for years by non-russians that it has become one.

My basic 3 tap keezer. Went with the forward sealing ss perlicks, so not really thinking of a drip tray yet. Honestly...these things just don't drip. Rarely if at all.

Na zdorov'ya (На здров&#1103 means "on (or to) your health" in Russian. Many other languages say apx the same thing before a drink, so I would say that's a fair aproximation of a toast.

I just completed my keezer. I took inspiration from here, though I came up with a different means of attaching the drip tray.

For the drip tray mount, I bought 2 15" hanging plant hooks from Lowe's. I bent them slightly, both to make the tray sit level, and to center it under the faucets. See here:

Yes but from what I have read, it is primarily used as a response to "spasibo" (thank you) it everyday settings, and not necessarily a "toast".

then again, the Brits use "cheers" outside of toasts all of the time.
