I only just got the joke when the phone app showed the url for the picture, I agree that whirlpooling is a good method. I have done hoppy PAs chilling through a plate chiller using whirlpool only with no issues

Likewise here. I do it with a spoon, no strainer anywhere in my system. I'm going to get the inline tri-clover one from brewers hardware just for the odd bits and bobs though. The whirlpool leaves so much in the kettle, I can't see the need for anything in the kettle itself for straining.
