Hello and thanks in advance!

I have some experience with wine and I decided to try cider. I used a brewersbest cider kit. The specifics are as follows:

6 gallons
Temperature controlled to 68° F
1kg Cane Sugar
Starting SG was 1.044
After 7 days SG was 1.006
After 10 days SG was still 1.006 with almost no activity on the bubbler.

The base was cloudy to begin with and when I racked it into secondary it was still very cloudy. I added 1 tsp of gelatin with 1/2 cup water. I went through the gelatin steps (soak it in water for an hour and heat to near boiling but not quite) and it went very cloudy but after 24 hours a TON of sediment dropped down. Before, a LED flash light couldn't penetrate the carboy and now it's at least glowing on the other side. I can still see a lot of small pieces of sediment floating in the liquid but not falling down. It's been 5 days now with little or no change since the day after I added the gelatin.

My question is this, should I rack it off and add another dose of gelatin to try and clear it the rest of the way? If I add too much gelatine will it just consolidate on the bottom?

Thanks!!

I just wanted to know if it was possible to add too much gelatin. It seemed that I didn't use very much for the amount I had in the carboy. I racked it again and added another dose of gelatin and this was my result. I don't have a way to really cold chock a whole carboy. That's gonna change though. Getting a new fridge and other othe is going to be brew related stuff.

This was a couple days after second batch of gelatin.
