My very first batch has been in the first rack for 1 week.....the SG is 1.111 right now and the fementation has slowed way down....is it ready to bottle? also any info on back sweetening would be greatly helpful

THANKS!!!

I suspect you measured this incorrectly unless you added a cubic butt-load of sugar. Then after fermentation, your gravity would fall to something like 1.005-1.020 ish.

I re-checked it.....im sitting at 1.010.....i didnt take a reading before i started the first fermentation so i cant get an alcohol content

The strongest cider I've ever made was 1.13 OG, and ended up around 17% abv. You're done at 1.00 ish.

I given my first 3 batches a month before bottling, backsweetened with splenda and lightly primed with corn sugar.

Take another sample soon and if the gravity is unchanged then it is ready to bottle. If the gravity is still dropping, you must wait.
