My bag is starting to open up on the bottom seam. Lasted about 10 brew sessions so far. What type of thread should be used to patch it up? Was thinking about using fishing string but concerned about chemicals leaching at mash temps.
 
Strong thread. Poly or poly blend. Doesn't have to be anything super special, just not cheap. Ideally you want to use a serger machine.
 
On my first bag I made and I'm ready to make another I used just standard polyester sewing thread. Works great and my seams have never separated.
