I enjoy having a few beers on a regular basis, but don't like the effects of higher ABV brews... Don't get me wrong .. I still like big beers,, but on a regular basis I prefer session brewers.. I know we see threads for English Ales and the like, but I enjoy making session ales f all types. I currently have a Belgian Abbey Single, a session Rye NE IPA, a Belgian Wit, a session Amber Saison, and a ESB!!! All come in under 4.5% ABV most pushing closer to 4%..

Who else out there enjoys brewing session ales and actually prefer them to other brews...

One of my favorite beers I made this past fall: Grodziskie (Polish smoked wheat ale) came in at 3.9%! Many are scared to try it but once they do they are so surprised at the flavor. It was mostly oak smoked wheat malt. I must admit I'm not a fan of any wheat beer (German or American) but I love this beer. I was on a smoked beer kick last year and wanted to try the German oak smoked malt. I will be making this beer again! Full of flavor, doesn't have too much smoke and very easy drinking. A great BBQ beer!
