I read the "article", rant, and a couple of pages of comments. Being the curious person that I am, how many of you have actually been / met a beer snob? The guys on the bud super bowl commercial don't count and neither does this "writer".
Am I the only one that thinks that if the places she frequents are now serving a variety of beers it is because the bars (pubs) she goes to are there to make money and that if she no longer can appreciate the atmosphere or menu she should find another place to go, having said that it would most likely be appreciated by the owners of said pubs because of her horrible attitude toward their clientele and menu.
I had my first craft brew 20+ years ago and have never looked back wondering why I chose to go the route of enjoying the beer I drink over drinking beer that is not enjoyable or actually tastes bad. In the 20 years I have purchased the occasional stinker and I have purchased the cases of bmc. Neither makes "most craft beers" nasty or gross or whatever she said. Buying the bmc reminds me why I like craft beer and buying the occasional stinker helps me learn what not to make or buy again. It really comes down to this with those of us who brew, serve and appreciate craft beer..... would you really serve TV dinners at your dinner party? Not saying that there are no occasions when you would not serve bmc but ...... well you get the point. Each occasion/ place has a proper menu she just doesn't fit with the menu anymore.
