This is my very first AG. It's a biere de garde and I can't wait to dig in... but I'm not sure if filled my secondary correctly at an appropriate time. My FG was down to 1.01 (beer calculus calls for this style to be at 1.014) but it is still fermenting. I know I should have waited, but for some reason I got anxious. Also, Did I leave too much room at the top of my carboy?
Here is the picture! Thanks for the help!!

I clicked on the link and a popup tried to convince me that I had a virus and asked me to download files. Beware.

thats your comp... not trying to screw anyone over guys haha

look at my previous posts. imageshack is legit.

It could be finished fermenting, but the racking is causing CO2 to come out of solution. That CO2 should displace any oxygen, so your head space is fine. In any case, if it is at 1.010 and you were targeting 1.014, then it is probably close enough. Personally, I do not bother with secondaries, but I suspect you should just RDWHAHB.

In a secondary you don't want a lot of headspace, and being that you're more or less done with fermentation, looks fine to me.

If your anticipated final gravity is 1.014 and you are at 1.010 I would think you are pretty much done with fermenting, and it is a fine time to move to a secondary for clearing.

Unless I am missing something in your post, well done!!
