I was wondering if this would work. I have a white oak barrel, the inside was charred to a medium toast. I want to age my beer in it and I also want to dry hop as well. If I put the beer in the wood barrel and then put some hops in a grain bag and stuck that in the wood barrel also for a few months would it work out in the end..? Im making a citrus beer and found some citrus hops.. Just wondering.. Any thoughts...

The barrel would work for aging. I am not sure if you want to dry hop for a couple of months. You could add them and remove them from the barrel

I would be concerned about sanitation unless you have a strong beer. Once the beer has alcohol in it, it is more dificult to infect, but sanitizing the wood would be impossible. I would be curious how this turns out. I know high gravity beers can be aged in oak casks.
