Hello Everyone,
So I finished my first run of kegged beer about 2 months ago. I cleaned the keg and lines with Easy clean emptied the keg and closed the lid. I opened the lid today to sanitize and fill the keg. The issue is that there was a small about of water at the bottom of the keg, maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons and it smelling really strongly of mold/mildew.
So far I have boiled a gallon of water poured it into the keg, shook it around for 3 or 4 minutes pressurized the keg and ran some of the water through the line. Now I have the keg filled with 2.5 gallons of Iodophor solution and have pressurized and drained some of that through the lines.
What else should I do to ensure that I will not contaminate (bacteria or flavor) my beer when I go to keg it?
