Scoby is black and I'm feeling blue

I used blackberry tea for my kombucha and my scoby has turned black. Could this be normal and scoby is just taking on color of tea? Or sign of something wrong? Thanks.

I would suspect it's just the blackberry tea dying the scoby.

Unless it's fuzzy. Then you got a problem.

Unless it has hair, fur, fuzz or bugs on it, I don't go by how it looks. I go by how it smells and then tastes.
