I'm looking to scale down a 10 gallon recipe to a 5 gallon recipe. The 10 gallon recipe calls for 4 oz hopback addition. Do I drop the hops to 2 oz, keep them at 4, or something in between. I'm new to using my hopback and was thinking that the oil extraction is less constant in a hopback than if the hops are boiling in the total volume of wort and it's more if a filter. If this is true I would stick to 4?. Or does all the hop oil get extracted anyways as the wort passes through in the hopback so I should use 2?

Curious to know what has been others experiences with hopback aroma and quantity. Hope this question makes sense. Thanks!
