Hi all... I'm preparing to scale a recipe. I am aware of two online calculators that will do this in a click
However, I'm trying to discern if one of these has a bug, or if chemistry has played a mind trick on me. Using the exact same ingredients for a 5.25 gallon batch on both calculators, I get the same results for a particular recipe. However, after scaling in half, brewgr also scales my ABV in half. I can see a main difference between these tools is due to scaled adjustments of the ppg (and lovibond) of my fermentables. Is that correct? it doesn't make sense in my mind, but again, at the end of the day, it's science. Changing the ppg affects the OG and FG as well in this scaled result.
