Hi all and thanks in advance for any help.
Briefly I just did a good brew of Brown ale its in the bottles and looking fine.
So I had leftovers and got experimental:
made a wort from around half a kilo of black malt grains
made it up to about a gallon
added around a kilo of malt extract
Hopped it late for around 15 minutes
Cooled it in the pot on ice
THEN I pitched a packed of local brewers yeast (normally used for sorghum beer)
fermentation at first was rapid..then of day 4...it seemd to stop.
Right now I have a gallon of malty, yeasty, cloudy stuff...tastes not bad but PUNCHES yeast and sweet....but hops is good.
Can it be saved?
