I am planning on doing my first sour mash this weekend and in preparation for this I am planning on using an extra 10g Igloo cooler to do a mini-mash of some of the base malt, acid malt, and a lacto culture. Now this cooler is rather nasty as I was using it a few months ago as a container for my daughter's dirty cloth diapers. I obviously gave it a good cleaning after my daughter was out of diapers but nothing that I would consider a good sanitizing befitting a vessel for sour mashing.

Now my question is would a PBW cleaning be enough or can I soak it with a bleach solution to insure that it is 100% free and clear of any nasty baby poop microbes?

Thanks!
