So I've got a keg of beer I brewed six months ago. It was fully sanitized and purged prior to kegging. Right now it's got a fine layer of dust on the top and I finally want to tap it. Do I just spray off the top with water, and maybe spray some star san on it to clean and sanitize it? I've never dealt with a keg that I wasn't just tapping and drinking right away before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers! :mug:

Exactly, just wipe or spray off the dust with water and then repeat with sanitizer and you should be good to go.

The beer doesn't touch the top of the keg during serving :p

As long as the posts are clean and sanitized before the QDs go on and the post o-rings get some fresh lube you should be fine.
