My talented Hubby has made me an apple press out of stainless and the barrels are oak. Even has a pneumatic press :)
Question is - what's the best sanitizer to use with Steel?

When I pressed apples and grapes with my oak press, I use meta binsulfite. Same stuff you treat the must with.

You can mix up a solution of metabisulfite and citric acid for sanitizing. Many winemakers use this rather than starsan.

I would use starsan myself though.

Have seen that video. It's crazy!! Makes me feel better about my process ha ha.

I actually am trying to stay away from sulfites as much as possible.

Starsan - will read into
Have citric acid - any recipes?
