Ack.

Can't hang around long. Visiting my folks.

Bloody heathens! No appreciation for fine beer. I brought a fine selection of homebrew and commerical brews (old peculiar, Belhaven wee heavy, Old engine oil, Fraoch, Kilt tilter, and an Imperial Chokalat stout) I am enjoying them don't get me wrong...

:drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

In fact I am enjoying them for everyone!
Everybody is pretty sick of hearing about beer from me as well. Man.

I'm lonely. sniff sniff. :(

and druck.

Yea....same story....different druck....but in this case..it's not just a rhetorical statement, it really is ALL GOOD.

My family is too far away so I don't see them over the Christmas holidays, but I do see them over Easter when I go for a visit. My family can seriously drink, but have no idea what is "good" beer or wine. My dad buys Genesee Cream Ale in the 30 pack as a special treat for me.

Still, they try! They had a birthday party for my son while we were visiting, and my brother knows I'm into wines including making my own fruit wines. He bought a special bottle of Gallo Blackberry Wine for me to have during dinner. I just thanked him profusely and drank it. It was slightly better than MadDog 20/20.

At least they are trying to please me and acommodate by beer/wine snobbishness. But, like your family, the good stuff is wasted on them!

Sounds like your folks have an interest. Maybe taking them on a wine tasting would be fun. Next time you visit you can take a bottle or two or a couple sixes to them and say it's your treat.;)

Ungh.

yeah more for me alright. oh. :cross:

Anyway... They do like wine I guess. They will have a glass with dinner!

They do try. They like my homebrew. They just aren't big drinkers. If my younger brother was here... :drunk:

But, then he was the one who got me into this in the first place. My wife used to drink all kinds of good beer. She has become more of a moderate drinker though. Diet has a bit to do with it.

I suppose I did bring a bunch of pretty big to really big commercial beers. Probably not the best for non beer drinkers. Oh well.
