So sad, dammit.
I was looking forward to seeing what Jeremy was going to create.
He sold his interest in KD almost a year ago and was hoping for a summer opening at Revision.
Who knows how long it will be before we see any of his stuff. Dammit.

Stopping by Davis tonight. Is the Dock Store worth visiting? I saw some positive reviews earlier in this thread. Was planning only on going to the Shoppe.

they just released 3 new bottles to club members, not sure if it's on tap or for the general public yet, but it's worth a visit anyways.

Okay read all 6 pages. Ill be in Elk Grove for the fourth weekend and Sat will probably do some breweries in surrounding areas.

Im hearing for you guys......

Device, Track 7, Bike Dog.

Since in Elk Grove we will probably do Flatland and Tilted Mash.

This a good plan?

If you hit Bike Dog, check out Yolo too. It's maybe a 1/2 mile away.

I hit up moonraker and bike dog for the first time a couple weeks ago. Have never been impressed with bike dog, but it's certainly not bad. Completely mediocre. Loved the taproom though. I thought moonraker beer had some potential, but the taproom isn't my kind of spot. Yojo was not on par whatsoever with the other good east coast style IPAs. I feel like they literally mixed orange juice into it. I liked all hops on deck better. Yojo seemed forced and just an attempt to jump onto the hype train.

While I don't feel the same way that you do about the beers, each person has their own opinion. I am however, very curious about what you don't like about Moonraker's taproom but love about Bike Dog's.

I don't think Moonraker taproom and Bike Dog taproom are carbon copies whatsoever. And Moonraker taproom certainly isn't bad, maybe I worded that poorly. I'm sure the fact that I was one of about six people in a monstrous taproom had something to do with my perception of Moonraker, it was eerily quiet. But I definitely think their beers have potential and I will revisit for sure.

I completely disagree that Yojo is some amazing beer and will be sought after in the trade market. But who knows, people are just silly over canned/hazy beers right now, so their jumping on board at the right time for that style and presentation. But I found Yojo to be good, not great. I would definitely buy cans of it if available, without lines or trading for it. There are so many better NE style IPAs right now, that's all I'm saying. But they're new and definitely have a lot of potential. Staff was super nice.

Both have a pretty sizable bar located in the brew house area with indoor tables and an outdoor back area with extra seating and room for a food truck. Ohhh, Bike Dog has a chalkboard tap list and Moonraker has TV's, that's probably throwing you off.

Fieldwork had their soft opening today, it was pretty packed but the staff did a great job handling it. Tap list was great too, probably lots of good leftovers available tomorrow. I'm stoked to have them in midtown.
