Im planing a dunkelroggen. I know rye is hard to work with so rice hulls are a must. Whats a good rye malt to rice hull ratio.

Half a pound of rice hulls is sufficient for most 5 gallon batches. How many pounds of Rye are you using?

I use a false bottom and have never used more than a pound of rice hulls. That includes with my pumpkin beers and all the rye beers i have done. I know that if you are using a braid or some other filtering device other than a false bottom you may need more as it is more likely that you will have a stuck sparge.

5 pounds in a 5 gal

Rice hulls don't take on that much water, so if you're really concerned about a stuck sparge, you can use a whole pound. I personally would go with a half a pound, but then again I've never mashed with more than one pound of Rye malt.
