Rubber/Plastic coated keg?

I just purchased a Konig-Brauerei 30L Keg.. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the rubber/plastic coating to turn it into a boiler?

you will probably just be left with a thin stainless steel capsule. I picked up some 40L euro kegs that are similar except they have galvanized top and bottom rings around a central stainless capsule bladder. IMO they are useless as brewpots.
