I was about to keg and took apart my pin locks for a good cleaninng. The o-ring on the liquid side is very discolored and having trouble just popping it off. Could this cause a co2 leak, even on the liquid side?

I'd like to keg tonight and get it on gas and down to 38 degrees, then deal with the o-ring tomorrow or monday. Bud will wait if that oring could cause co2 issues.

Thanks in advance!

Oh dang...its the gas side, not liquid. Not the little 0ring on the poppet. the one wehre the gas would connect....but..i guess that means not kegging tonight.

I replaced one last night while kegging beer. It was swollen and I couldn't get the ball lock disconnect onto the post.

Why would an oring swell? No idea, but when I got it off and compared to a new one, it was a mm or two larger in diameter.

Back when I started kegging, I splurged and got about 10 spares of ever oring you can find on a keg, and also poppets and stuff. Saved my butt on many late nights.
