Just wondering if a xlr to 3.5mm converter cable would work to run an rtd prob on an inkbird ipb-16?

I am assuming it will but anyone have any experience with converting to 3.5mm?

It’s just 3 wires, so really any 3 wire receptacle/plug will work pending each corresponding wire goes to the right place

Soo circling back on this.

I just tried using an xlr to qd cable from the rtd probe to an xlr to 3.5mm on my bayite btc211 and the controller is not getting a temp from the probe. It does detect the cable combo being plugged in or unplugged from any one of the connections but isn’t registering the temp.

Pins match up from the probe cable to the xlr to 3.5 cable so I’m guessing it’s the 3.5mm that isn’t wired to match or the probe isn’t working?

Any suggestions?

Looking at the Bayite, it uses a “NTC 10k” type probe. Inkbird IPB16 uses a RTD PT100 type probe

Others can chime in here, but if you bought a probe that would work for the IPB16, it prob doesn’t work for the Bayite, as they’re different probe types

I’m just finding this out as well. Thanks for the info!
