My first batch of homebrew was copied from "Bill" who has been making his own beer for years. It basically involved boiling about 6 pounds of grain for 3 hours. The beer he had was pretty good.My first batch was o.k. but I did not condition long enough. None of the recipes I see are even close to what I did with batch #1.Does anyone see a real problem with this approach. It sure seems alot easier than the other all grain methods I've seen on the net. When I try this method again I will use more grain but I am unsure of what to use. Bill sponsored my first batch with a (top secret) grain donation. I figured about 10 pounds 2 row barley plus whatever specialty malt comes to mind at the HBS. Any comments?advice?
