I brewed an RIS about three weeks ago at an OG of about 1.107 and it's stuck at 1.050. This is about .024 off of the estimated FG. This was only a two gallon batch split between two one gallon jugs. I used a vial of WLP007 and split it between the two jugs. The airlock stopped bubbling a while ago but hasn't leveled out yet. Should I just give it some more time or can I pitch more yeast?

How old was the yeast and did you aerate the wort? I would say you probably should swirl the bottles to get the yeast back in suspension and then repitch in a week or so if there's no progress. I wouldn't repitch until you're sure it's not going down anymore.

I just swirled the bottles around today. The yeast was brand new. Bought it from my LHBS the day I pitched.

You under pitched for that OG. Check the date on the yeast to see how old it was, and run the numbers through a calculator, I ran it as the yeast was only 3 days old and it still said 1.43 vials for that OG.

Did u make a starter?? I'm making an ris tomm with OG of 1.106 and I made a 5.5L starter over the course of a week to get the appropriate cell count per brewers friend calculator. If u just pitched in one vial with no starter u way underpitched and its prob stalled out.

He only brewed 2 gallons

I went ahead and pitched a second vial. According to brewtoad I only needed one vial, but on the pitch rate calculator it says to pitch two. I'll see how that works out.
