i brewed a brown ale and pitched some old wyeast Thames valley I had in the fridge. It didn't do anything for five days do I added some us-05 and it took off. My question is will the Thames valley yeast have any impact on the flavor at all?

Thanks for your help!

Did you check gravities before pitching the new yeast? If not how do you know it wasn't actively fermenting without air lock activity?

The only way to tell if the yeast changed the flavor would be to make the same batch using just the us-05 and blind taste testing it in my opinion.

I doubt it. usually one yeast dominates, and it sounds like the Thames Valley didn't take at all.
