the first time i made this everyone offered suggestions such as reworking the amount of crystal malt, so today i made it again with a revised recipie

original:
1.8 lb maris otter
.4 lb crystal 30
.2 lb biscuit
1 cup mango

revised:
2 lb maris otter
.3 lb biscuit
.3 lb crystal 20
1 large mango diced( turned out around 2 cups)

in the original the crystal was 14% now both it and the biscuit are 11%. hope that meets with more approval

the boil schedule remained the same but for a refresher:
.1 oz citra 60
.1 oz citra 45
.1 oz citra 15
1 large mango diced 15
.1 oz citra 5
.1 oz citra 0

from how it looks i think i shouldve went with munich instead of biscuit since i changed the amount but it still falls into the color scale of an ipa so i guess its ok

Hi mtbrewer403,

How strong were the mango aromas in the beer? I wonder if it would be better to add the fruit after fermentation rather than in the boil.

there wasnt much fruit aroma after the boil but after the cool down it was there. and the first time i made it you could pick it up in the bottle
