replacing munich grain with munich extract

Curious what the result would be if my recipe calls for munich and I replace it with extract, given that I would use a quantity only to match the O.G., but the extract is a 50/50 blend of munich and base malt. How much different would the end result be?

A little less influence from the munich. You could replace an equal amount of base malt or extract to restore the balance.

Munich malt can vary , some suppliers make a light and dark Munich as well...

Kind of a crap shoot, but less or more is not a huge deal unless your the exacting type...
