i didnt read the whole thread but my suggestions would be to use a glass carboy or stainless steel. plastic has oxygen permeability. get your beer into bottles as soon as possible. dry hop towards the end of fermentation, maybe on day 5-6.
drink them fast. dark beers do better with bottling. a little oxygenation in a stout, brown ale, dark belgian, etc isnt usually noticeable.
if kegging becomes an option, youll have way less to worry about.
