I have too much volume in my kettle and I need to boil it down a bit. Can I just remove the hops and keep boiling? They are pretty much contained in muslin bags.

Remember that the wet hops will add to the visible volume you have. Even after you drain them the volume will be less.

There's only 2 oz in the boil and have 6 gallons, need to get down to 5.25. I yanked the bags out just now and didn't let them drain.

I did longer boil on a batch a while back I started with to much volume, not sure you need to pull the good if there is only 2oz but im sure it will work out
