I'm finishing building a fermentaion fridge that I've used an old water cooler compressor for cooling it. I've run into the problem that the copper pipes that comes off of it( the exchange area for cooling) are coiled about six time and then at one spot they are soldered together with a smaller amount of solder. I want to remove this solder so the copper coils can be pulled apart and separated, does anyone know of a good way to do this? I thought about using a torch to just melt it off but the coils are filled with freon and I definetly don't want to run into any problems with that.
