What type of pen can I mark dark beer bottles and dark wine bottles with to say the batch and date and then remove it easily again after I've drunk it to reuse the bottles?

I just use different colored caps with a mark of some sort on them. Then just keep a brew log with all the identifying marks so I can know what is in each bottle.

Just another way to do it.

I have a "white pen" from the craft store washes right off, is easy to read. Though it might not hold up if you put bottles on ice.

I mark the caps with a sharpie, usually using 3 letters (APA, IPA, etc). You can also use masking or paper tape and mark as desired. Make sure you log whatever you do mark it with so you know in the future what you have.

Nothing worse than finding an older bottle and not knowing what the hell it is.

Print then stick a 19mm label on the cap it gets removed with out ANY extra effort.
It's less bother to print them than write it up 40 times, the progran I use is glabels.
