I want to brew this weekend, I was actually going to use pro Mash and try and come with a recipe but then thought I might actually want to do one more before venturing off.

I want to do an IPA.

Any recipes I should be looking at I'd like to but the ingredients locally.

OK, did an extract Stout kit I got from Brewer's apprentice. When I poured the wort into the fermenting bucket I didn't know I was supposed to strain it so the hops don't go in.

What do you guys think?

Sorry I replied to the message instead of posting another thread for the second question.

I have the book on order I was hoping to get something similar off the internet so I can brew this weekend

you know what I just checked amazon I should get the book today so that's good news. I'm addicted to brewing!:ban::ban::mug:

I have made both the victory and the liberty ale and they were really good. And have substituted the grain in the liberty for .5lb amber dme for the grains. I had to add about
.75lb of extra dme and .75 lb of dextrose at the end when the wort was cooled to get my SG up to where it recomends (this is due to the fact that i do 23 litre batches). But it worked out great. Good luck.

Thanks for your help guys I just got home and the book is here so I'm going to see about getting the ingredients tomorrow am before it starts so snow and get started!

Check the recipe database and look for Yoopers Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA clone. You will not be sorry. I did the extract version and its better than the real thing!
