Ok so my reg was creeping and I took it apart and found the seal on the poppet was brittle and cracking (it had been sitting round unused for a while before I got it). I scraped it out and it seemed like some sort of waxy material. I am a bit straped for cash at the mo so I was thinking of ways to rebuild it, and so far I have come up with using some silicone sealent in the grove of the poppet to get a seal. Anyone have any other thoughts on this?
Cheers!

Rebuild kits are available for most regulators. If that doesn't work out, give your local welding supply a call. Many of them carry regulator parts.

Do you know if the rebuild kits include the poppet valve? Its a mestriner regulator, the company is italian and I have not had any response from them in emails. Might try again and the check the local shops.
Cheers,
Matt
