Has anyone ever converted an inverter compressor refrigerator to use an STC-1000 type device for holding finished beer at serving temperature? I have a Bosch refrigerator that uses an inverter to control the compressor. My understanding is that the main board sends a control voltage -5 TO +15 volts to the inverter that then regulates the compressor motor speed. I’d like to bypass the current temperature setting control. It uses multiple thermisters and only has 4 preset temperature options. I have attached a picture of the compressor and inverter nameplates for reference. I'm hoping its as easy as using a 12v STC with a 12 volt power supply or transformer. My laymans's logic says once the relay opens the supplied 12 volts is within the control voltage range and the inverter will do its job of stepping up the compressor voltage and regulating the hertz, but this is outside of my knowledge base.
This refrigerator has been a nightmare and this is my last attempt to make its life useful before it goes to the landfill. It’d appreciate any help the group's collective wisdom could offer.
