I have a couple beers in mind that I'd like to be able to brew in 10 gallon batches but have been limited in finding a fermenter shaped in a way that would allow it to fit into my mini fridge fermentation chamber.

It has always baffled me why there are not more rectangular shaped fermenters since most of us use mini fridges and they are all rectangular shaped. There are a couple options that would kind of work but I stumbled on people that are selling RV water tanks that are FDA rated and come in a variety of rectangular shapes for pretty cheap prices. This one for example would fit perfectly.

Has anyone heard of someone trying fermenting in one of these? Thoughts on issues I might run into? I typically us a soak cleaning method so being able to get my hand into it is not a deal breaker for me.

Those were one option I was looking at. The only things I don't like about them are that I'd have to space them off the floor to get them over the compressor hump and getting the seam between the lid's collar and the tank clean.

As long as you dont have to move it when its full.

I should be able to just fill it on a low profile dolley and push it right into the fridge. Based on the contrucstion, I might even be able to CO2 push the finished product back out when fermentation is complete.

They're not too bad if you only have to move them short distances. I usually put half a batch in the vittles vault and half in a bucket when I take it down to my fermentation chamber.
