Looking to ferment in a keezer. I have 3 6.5 gallon carboys. I need a freezer big enough to hold them, but would like to not buy a deep freezer that is unnecessarily larger. Suggestions on a cubic foot size?

If its one available at home depot, thats a plus, since I live .5 miles away from there and have a coupon.

Check out the charts/tables in this thread https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=377518
It shows "what fits" in numerous combinations.
I think you'd be looking for a 7 cubic foot model at the minimum, going by the table on the first page.

Realize that it's a few years old, so some of the model numbers will have changed, some of the products may have disappeared from the stores, etc.
But you can usually use the make/model/retailer combination to find product line successors...

Cheers!

What's the diameter and type of your carboys? Glass? I recently scored a Magic Chef 6.9cuft chest freezer from Home Depot that will hold three 5 gallon Better Bottles or three of the 6.5 gallon plastic Big Mouth Bubblers (with about a 10" collar). The fit is SNUG, though. I don't think it'd fit three glass 6.5s.

Model Number HMCF7W2
Home Depot SKU 625-264
Reg. price $198, was on sale for $168.

Let me check mine real quick see how many it'll hold. I could do two on the floor and one on the hump, only wth a collar. That's three glass 6.5g carboys.

7.3cf frigidare from Home Depot. See also my keezer build thread
