I've been looking into small batch (3G) 120V electric recirc BIAB. Can anyone recommend a prefab controller? I'd like to balance economy vs durability. I'd just need to run a pump and a basic element with the control to do step mashes. Thanks!

If you want to minimize costs, just control the pump by unplugging and plugging it back in when needed and get one of these analog controllers...

It will work great with a 1500 watt element.

If you want something that's pretty much bullet proof, is rated for 20 amps, uses a PID type of controller, has a pump and element on/off switch, I'm partial to this one....

I've had a 15 amp BrauSupply controller for about a year now. It's fantastic.

This comes up a lot and I'm not certain about this small of a batch but you might not need one. The reason being is you will want it running at full power at all time. You will want full power to Strike and full power to start and keep boiling. I suppose if you must recirculate my PID came from Jager bush and he makes some of the cheapest best controllers out there. Side note you can make one but if you do I would recommend making a small mobile one. That brau supply is nice too. Auber inst. Makes a good cheap one too, and they are the people who makes all the parts people use
