Hi all, not new to brewing, but back after a long break.
I was drinking this http://www.4pinesbeer.com.au/beers/esb at a pub the other day, and thought, gee, I wouldnt mind trying to make some at home. I don't have any all grain brewing equipment, so it would need to be an extract brew. and I have no experience making up recipes from scratch, so far i've only copied other people.

anyone wanna have a quick stab at an extract recipe? or provide some guidance on a starting place to learn more.

cheers

Give this a shot, and of course, let me know how it turns out:

5 Gallon Batch

SPECIALTY GRAIN (Steep/partial mash)
- .5 lbs Maris Otter (or other 2-row barley malt)
- .25 lbs Crystal
- .25 lbs Cara Munich
- .25 lbs Biscuit or Victory malts

FERMENTABLES
- 3.15 lbs Gold malt syrup (60 min)
- 3.15 lbs Gold malt syrup (late addition - 15min)
- 1 lbs Briess Golden Light DME (late addition - 15min)

HOPS & FLAVORINGS
- 2oz Willamette(60min)
- 1oz East Kent (15min)
- 1oz Fuggles (1min)
* Should be able to sub UK Golding if East Kent or Fuggles aren't available at your LHBS
