Oh, missed the currently unhappy part.
I don't really see how this is even a decision. It sounds like you keep all of the perks you currently have, get rid of a bunch of baggage, get extra props for dealing with someone you don't have an issue with but others do, AND get more money. Where's the downside?I'll still be able to work from home 3 days a week and schedule will mostly be dictated by meetings. Generally speaking, I would 8-43 or 9-5 but technically, no set schedule.
and yeah man, it's unbearable at this point, I am miserable every day do to others incompetence.

TalkBeer has a Hiring Director now? How many idiots paid for that premium membership?Think I am going to get offered a promotion today. Hiring Director "wants to connect to chat this afternoon", here is my dilemma. I don't respect my current boss, she's turned into a helpless, micro-managing dimwit. My new boss is known for being "not the easiest to work with", basically, since i have partnered with her numerous times in the past and we get along fine. She is aggressive and goes for the throat, which is similar to my work style.
Would you take the promotion working for a new boss that you respect and knows her **** but can be a bitch or would you stay in your current position where, although you are unhappy, you can come and go when you please and basically get away with murder?
Looking at roughly a 10k a year salary bump.

You're trying to tell me that either of those guys did something pointless and illogical just to get attention?JiveX and Tosh bought the majority of them and I am all over here like "you ******* want it to fail but are financially supporting it?"
You're trying to tell me that either of those guys did something pointless and illogical just to get attention?
I don't believe it

Ok, in the BadJustin boat. Put in for a new role that's a lateral move job code wise but higher engagement and responsibility. HR just called and said new policy (thanks merger) says no pay change on lateral moves. Anyone else run into this? Seems like something that can be overridden but not sure I want to press my luck.
Definitely push back. That's a ******** response.Ok, in the BadJustin boat. Put in for a new role that's a lateral move job code wise but higher engagement and responsibility. Was gonna say this. I'm in HR. They can do anything to keep the right peopleDefinitely push back. That's a ******** response.
Signed, someone who regularly butts heads with HR's "standards".
A lot depends on your line of work. With unemployment like it is, many companies can't pay enough to keep good talent. This is where my corporation faults itself. If someone asks for more to stay with the company, it's a pretty much guaranteed response of "thanks for your time with us" and promote someone else that will probably do it cheaper.
