Fortunately this was about 7 years ago. He is doing well, but he now has his brother looking out for him. He had a massive heart attack and was in a coma for a month. The day he was going to be declared vegetable status, he woke up. His brother would read and play music and talk TV shows to him all the time. His mom, my aunt, stayed at Jefferson Barracks for 2 months. If I ever win a lottery, I'm sending the substantial funds. It is a very good place.

And to add a photo that is uplifting

A friend took this photo today.

I understand pink dogwoods can be a bit finicky wrt placement as they prefer dappled sunlight to full.
On the up side, they should love our acidic soil up here.

One of the two trees we planted the little white survivor under fell on it and the next year the tree on the other side dropped a 4" branch on it. Poor thing just keeps going...

Sad…. Cleaned three kegs today, the lines and taps. Erased the blackboard. I did order specialty grains today to make two batches of beer. Turned 70 last February, two weeks later emergency surgery for a perforated colon- all better now but my wife just had spinal decompression surgery
