Back in my day, when the sky was bluer, the grass was greener, and gear shifts were on the steering columns where they belong, I thought it was height of absurdity to have stickers on window A/C units telling you to not drop unit out of window as serious injury may result.

Right up there with stickers on lawn mower decks advising (advising mind you, not telling, just advising) to not stick feet under the deck when the mower was running.
