so, i have this 1/2 oz US Goldings bag that's just hanging around. I have a pale ale that could use more hop aroma. it's been in the keg since christmas, so it's cold and carbed. I'm not drinking it, it's for my daughter's birthday party which is this saturday.

will throwing 1/2 oz in right now do anything at all? do i just put it in a hop bag and throw it in? what about sterilization?

thanks!

Never dry hopped in a keg (dont keg) but usually DH in secondary. I know people use those stainless mesh balls to DH in a keg. I would sanitize the bag or ball if you have, and pop it in there. Don't worry about contamination from the hops. Won't happen.

I'd just boil the hop bag for a few minutes, put hops in sanitized bag, drop into keg. Usually if I'm going to dry hop in the keg I use my ss tea ball (bought from wal-mart) or I tie the hop bag about 2/3 of the way down the dip tube.

i decided to not do it, since i don't have an extra hop bag handy, and my tea ball is full off...well....tea scum.....
