Hello I have one of these heating wrap for brewing but my question is my fermentation chamber aka my refrigerator is in my house where the room temp is 70f to 72f so when I want to ramp up my fermentation temp near the end of fermentation do I really need to use the fermwrap heat pad to ramp up fermentation temp or would the ambient air temp of the room be enough to ramp up the temperature using my temp controller meaning I can just dial up the temp on my controller I want an let the ambient room temp bring up the temp I want. Or is 5gal of wort to much mass for the room temp to rise the wort temp?

Is 70-72F the temp you want to ramp up to? Then yes, room temperature should be fine.

Have you been keeping it cooler than room temp for the initial stages of fermentation?
