hello:
this is my first posting. i have been reading the postings here for a few months and appreciate all the info.
i started homebrewing last year with a beer kit and have now started partial mashing.
last month i tried a barleywine o.g. 1.102 which i racked to a secondary after about a week when the bubbling slowed and added lavlin ec-1118
now i notice about 3/8" of what appears to be yeast in the bottom of the secondary.
since i was planning on keeping it in the secondary until march, should i rack off the yeast into aother sterilized carboy?
i am still getting a bubble every 2 minutes or so
any suggestions,
thanks

First i have no experience w/ high grav. beers yet. However if you are planning on ageing/ conditioning in the secondary for a prolonged amount of time, which i think you will want to do with a barley wine, then you should get the beer off the yeast cake.
When you transfer remember no splashing!
