I just realized my primary is fermenting at around 75 degrees. It's been like this for the last two weeks. Something tells me if I move it to a cooler area, it's likely to mess it up even more due to the temp change.

You guys know what kind of off-flavors (if any..?) I'm to expect from a higher fermenting temp like this? Thanks ye!

Probably a 'hot' alcohol flavor. Depends on the yeast really. Might be barely noticeable or very pronounced. It'll still make beer.

Probably more esters from the yeast as well.

Depends on what kind of yeast you are using, but the typical sign of a hot fermentation are esters which tend to be more fruity and maybe some hot alcohol notes. 75 is not that hot though, don't freak out.

By the way, if its been that way for two weeks, most (if not all) of the fermentation has happened by now anyway (assuming a normal pitch in an average strength beer), so moving it to a cooler place would likely just promote the yeast to settle out.

Depends on the yeast you're using. If it's US-05, not much of an off flavor from that temperature. Some of the others could give you a ester taste. That temperature is still a bit low for a phenol taste.

Worst case scenario, you'll have a bit of a hot taste from some fusel alcohols being made.

Moving the beer to a cooler area won't do anything at all now. You're past the active primary fermentation stage, so any damage that would be done is already done. If the first beer you crack has some bad flavors, then just let the beer sit for a few months. (Although truthfully I doubt that anyone but you will notice any off flavors, and you'll only notice them since you'll be looking now.)

The yeast is safbrew WB-06. So I'm assuming some definite ester flavors. Which is acceptable :)

Thanks guys for the info.
