okay i addressed this in a previous thread, but i still need a more in-depth answer.

all right, let's say i want to brew this Cutthroat Porter Clone from O'Dell.

and let's say I don't want to use extract, but go all grain instead.

but i don't have the set up for all grain.

can i still do all-grain and just mash it in a 2gal cooler?

there's approx 11 pounds of malt in this recipe. will it even fit into a 2gal cooler?

as always, much appreciated in advance for the answers i'm sure i'll receive.

11 pounds won't quite fit in a 2 gallon cooler, you're lucky to fit 5 pounds in that.

Also, without an all-grain setup, the sparge is difficult at best.

If you want to use as much grain as possible, you could do something to the effect of a 5 lb mash in your brew-kettle. There's a great sticky here on easy partial-mash brewing.

Ah. much appreciated man, gonna try it out tomorrow :]
