I am currently fermenting an American Wheat Ale and I just wanted to confirm that while in the car boy it should be a deep amber/red color. It's my first batch and I don't want to mess it up. So far everything is looking good.

it's really hard to judge a color in a carboy because of the volume. Really just wait until your first pour into a glass and then judge it :)

Also do know that if it was based on an Extract recipe that the color will usually be a smidge darker then most recipes formulas state.

That's what I suspected but sense I am doing this on my own, just wanted to double check. And yes its from an extract kit. Thanks.

Ja, always seems deeper than what it should when looking into the depths of a carboy. With extract, you need to be careful as it is REALLY easy to burn/caramelize the extract and thus get a deeper color and flavor.
