First time kegger here.

When pouring my beer (from a picnic tap) it flows very slowly. However, if I put some weight on top of the disconnect, it flows beautifully.

I have new poppets, the disconnects are new. What could be the problem?

Did you put the disconnects on the wrong posts, the posts are actually different sizes and so are the corresponding poppets. So if you put the gas on the liquid post it could be loose. This happens a lot with first time keggers who put the posts back on thinking they are interchangeable.

how can you tell if the post are on backwards? i have a small leak somewhere and i cant find it.. my corny's dont have "in" or out" written on them.. i have some that are different shapes for unsrewing, but this particular corny just has the same for both....
